Education Initiatives

When we learned 35% of low-income children lack the basic language skills needed to learn to read in kindergarten, our community came together to collaborate and improve that number in Siouxland. 0-3 Prime Age to Engage is a joint effort of 70 Siouxland Partners. The Talk, Play, Read, Sing campaign kicked off a multifaceted campaign in 2018 that still continues to reach parents and caregivers of 0 to 3 year olds. The message is simple - spend time every day talking, playing, reading, and singing with the little ones in your life to ensure their brains make the billions of neuro connections needed to succeed in school and in life.
